Financial Contributions

If you would like to contribute you financially, you can contact us at information@lincos.net. We are a Costa Rican certified non-profit organisation audited annually with the assistance of KPMG.

Academic Contributions

Every year, a group of students do their in-service training at the LINCOS headquarters (more than 60 in 2001) to develop new applications and projects. If you or your academic institution is interested in conducting research, please contact us with your research interests.

Among the in-service projects which stand out are:

• Design and development of equipment and applications for Telemedicine, Teledermatology, Teleophtalmology, Telepsychiatry and Telecardiology.
• Development of user friendly software to obtain indicators in the communities.
• Design of new applications for community e-commerce, such as the information kiosk.
• Research and industrial design in the LINCOS Units, to be used for specific purposes (water purification, computer labs, primary health care centers, among others)
• Serial design of new LINCOS Units, new canopies and tensile structures, and new furniture.
  Development of specific educational programs, such as literacy campaigns, language courses, and short professional training courses.

In-kind Contributions

In kind contributions can be made directly to a specific community, or to the CRFSD which manages the LINCOS Initiative.
